Gravity Youth Centre is the name of a multipurpose facility in which youth specific services work in partnership to conduct programs that meet the identified needs of young people of the surrounding local area and greater Northern Wyong Shire. Three council staff, including Lake Haven Youth Program Worker, Aboriginal Youth Development Officer and Facility Manager along with Wyong Youth Services, The Smith Family, Workwise Inc and Youth Health all work from the building. These services, referred to as the Gravity Project Team, offer a broad range of programs to young people, including alternative education, life skill development, education support, crisis support in its many different forms and a place for young people to attend recreational activities. The Gravity Project Team share a vision of quality, best practice service provision to young people in a safe and supported environment.
Gravity Youth Centre and its services work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure that the centre, skate park and surrounding park remain a drug, alcohol and smoke free zone. Along with Wyong Shire Council, Police and Dept of Education, the centre supports a truanting protocol which promotes young people attending school and a Youth Access Protocol with Lake Haven Shopping Centre.

It is responsible for providing a holistic approach to manage the Lake Haven Youth Precinct, promote more harmonious relationships between young people and other sections of the community and enhance the amenity and prosperity of the area for the community as a whole. The position facilitates the coordination of the Gravity Project Team through meetings and program planning. Gravity based programs include Gravity Community Park makeover, Sustainability Street environmental program, Truancy Protocol and Youth Access Protocol. Further to this the role also plays a key part in promoting and carrying out Council wide youth programs, including the coordination of Youth Week, the Wyong Shire Council Youth Advisory Council and implementing programs and opportunities where young people can develop leadership skills and proactively engage within their local communities.
