Breakaway Post Release Support Program

Offers broad intensive support case management to young people being released or who have been released from custody. Attempts to break the cycle of re-offending and supports reintegration into the community. The program runs for 12-24 weeks and outreaches to the Central Coast, Port Stephens and entire Hunter region. Only Juvenile Justice Officers/Counsellors can make the referral. Juvenile Justice Centre staff can make Expressions of Interest.

To provide court support including information, practical and emotional support, advocacy and referrals to young people and their families appearing before the magistrate in the children's court. We operate at Woy Woy children's court on Mondays and Fridays and at Wyong children's court on Tuesdays. You will find us at the courthouse, so just come up and introduce yourself to us at court or telephone us for information prior to court appearance.
